Puppy Universtity

Follow-on Classes for Puppy School Graduates

Follow-on group classes for up to 6 puppies and their owners. 

Puppy University is an advanced group class for dogs who have completed Puppy School or similar formal training classes.

​These are fun and friendly group training classes for a maximum of 6 dogs per course. The course is run by a highly qualified ‘Puppy University’ tutor and assistants (see ‘Meet The Team’) to offer encouragement and support for you and your dog.

Comprising of 6 x 1 hour, weekly classes that can be attended by all family members, including children, to provide consistency throughout your dog’s development..

​What's Included:

 6-week course – 1 hour per week  -  Professional training notes  -  Certificate and rosette on successful graduation  -  Access to professional tutors and ongoing support  -  A fun and rewarding way of learning with your dog.

The course will cover more advanced progressions of reward based training, building on what dogs have learned in Puppy School. We will provide guidance for developing advanced behaviours that can endure distractions, distance and longer duration.

  • Stay

  • Wait

  • Fetch

  • Find

  • Item Identification

  • Settle

  • Trick Development

  • Advanced Walking with a 'loose lead'.

 

You and your dog will benefit from a progressive curriculum of activities that will help develop confidence and control in everyday life, from entering and exiting doorways to control of your dog in public areas. Your dog will love all aspects of the course, being rewarded every step of the way.

​The course is designed to offer you greater knowledge and set of techniques to continue building your relationship with your dog offering opportunities to develop ongoing skills or take up additional activities with your dog.​

Attending The Course

​​Puppy School Courses start at the time and location shown on the individual booking and last for 1 hour.

​Classes are carried out either face to face in a classroom environment or via a live video link (you will require a PC and Webcam or other device that supports video calls in order to take part in online classes). The booking shows which type of class are available, however face to face classes may be run online depending on government guidance and or specific class circumstances.

 

​If you wish to join one of our classes, simply click on the ''Book Now'' button adjacent to the class you would like to attend.

Places are strictly limited and fill up quickly.  

​We will confirm your attendance by return email.  

Within 48 hours you will receive an email from ‘noreply@puppyschool.co.uk’ with a link to make your payment – it is important that you add this email address to your email system to prevent the email being sent to your SPAM folder (or check your SPAM folder).

​Once you have paid, the system will issue you with a professionally printed ‘Puppy School’ manual (you should receive this within 2 weeks of payment being made), which will provide all the details regarding preparation and attendance of the classes, plus your Natures Menu vouchers (this will be sent via courier and packages cannot be reissued if delivery is declined).

 

​On your course start date make sure you are familiar with the location and leave plenty of time for travel and comfort breaks for your puppy.

 

If the class is online, then follow the joining instructions (and ensure you have setup your device so that you and your puppy can be clearly seen and that you have a quite and suitable space to train in).

Fees

The fee is shown against each booking and is subject to an additional £2 booking fee.
