Puppy Univeristy Classes
Fun, Friendly, Reward Based Development
Booking and Attending Classes
These are fun and friendly group training classes for a maximum of 6 dogs per course. The course is run by a highly qualified ‘Puppy University’ tutor and assistants (see ‘Meet The Team’) to offer encouragement and support for you and your dog.
The course consists of 6 weekly one hour classes. Classes can be attended by all family members, including children, to provide consistency throughout your dog’s development.
The course will cover more advanced progressions of reward based training, building on what dogs have learned in Puppy School. We will provide guidance for developing advanced behaviours that can endure distractions, distance and longer durations such as: Sit, Stay, Wait, Fetch, Find, Item Identification, Settle, Trick Development and Advanced Walking with a Loose Lead.
You and your dog will benefit from a progressive curriculum of activities that will help develop confidence and control in everyday life, from entering and exiting doorways to control of your dog in public areas. Your dog will love all aspects of the course, being rewarded every step of the way.
You will also be introduced to trick development, which is a key aspect of developing a good relationship and clear communication with your dog, as well as developing a fun and rewarding way to play with your best friend.
The course also covers lots of aspects around dog behaviour and allows time for specific questions and concerns to be addressed at the end of each class.
The course is designed to offer you a knowledge and set of techniques to continue building your relationship with your dog offering opportunities to develop ongoing skills or take up additional activities with your dog.
